1. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
SimCEO agrees that all business ideas developed within the simulation are the intellectual property of each participant or organizing institution and will not be developed or used in any way by simCEO or its employees. SimCEO cannot guarantee that ideas expressed within the simulation will not be used by other participants or parties. SimCEO reserves the right to use samples from each simulation for the purposes of marketing or further development of the options within the simCEO simulation, while the ideas themselves are the property of the creator. Those seeking further information on legally protecting ideas and works should consult copyright and patent regulations.
2. OBSCENE OR IMPROPER USE
Instructors should note that the employees of simCEO do not have control over the manipulation and creation of businesses. It is the instructor’s responsibility to notify simCEO immediately upon recognizing issues of questionable use. Reports can be made to info@simCEO.org.
SimCEO reserves the right to terminate participants or entire simulations for:
- the display of obscene, harmful, or illegal information that is deemed offensive;
- any attempt to manipulate the simulation through hacking or unauthorized use.
In cases where simulations are terminated, no refund will be given. Advance notice does not need to be given.
3. REFUNDS
SimCEO aims to be an innovative, flexible learning tool that has the potential to change learning. If you had a negative experience with your simulation or it does not live up to your expectations, we will refund your money. You must contact info@simCEO.org within 14 days after your "Authorization" date to be eligible for a refund. Beyond this date, no refunds will be given. If significant technical problems affect a simulation, credit for future simulations are possible.
4. simCEO IS NOT AN INVESTMENT/ENTREPRENEURIAL STRATEGY
Participants should note that successful philosophies and practices in simCEO will not necessarily translate into successful results in the real world. Participants are reminded that investing and developing a company in the real world represent significant risk. SimCEO is a simulation.
